OEM Gone…But New Membrane System Goes On
Middletown Township Public School District
Middletown, NJ
Challenge
The original manufacturer of the fabric structure gyms at this school district’s North and South High Schools had gone out of business. The buildings still functioned well but the exteriors badly needed to be refurbished, preferably during the summer when school was out.
Signature Solution
Having refurbished countless structures from ALL manufacturers—including this extinct OEM—Signature was the ideal partner for this project. Inspecting, maintaining, repairing and refurbishing all fabric structures is our core specialty. The solution for these two buildings included a system of large membrane panels covering the existing roof and walls. Our answer was also designed to minimize interior work (and cost) by allowing all hanging systems to remain in place.
Result
While school was out for the summer, Signature’s team successfully refurbished both structures on time and on budget. A new tensioning system and architectural grade Ferrari-brand membrane now ensure many years of cost-effective utility for this value-focused school district..and its taxpayers.
