Background
The Hotel De Anza is a renowned boutique hotel located in San Jose, CA that traces its roots to the 1920s. This iconic Northern California hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places and is located in the heart of Downtown. It’s a very high profile location that is one of the most recognizable landmarks around.
The Challenge
The Palm Court Terrace is used by the hotel for wedding receptions and other events and is a signature feature of the hotel. It features a 30-foot canopy which makes the terrace available all year round. However the canopy was falling into disrepair, and due to its location on a rooftop on a building on a crowded city block, they were having difficulty finding a company with the needed expertise to perform needed maintenance and repairs.
Solution
Signature was uniquely qualified to provide these services for these structures despite not being the original manufacturer, as our technicians and project managers have more experience working on structures from a multitude of OEMs than anyone else in the industry. Signature dispatched two technicians with all required equipment to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs.
The Result
The repaired canopy is once again a fine addition to the historic hotel and the owner has retained Signature to ensure its long life and aesthetic appeal lasts long into the future.
