Inspection Services

Fabric structures are designed as a fully integrated system- cables, trusses, purlins, and tension mechanisms functioning together to provide an airtight, watertight, secure and safe building system. As with any type of building in today’s world, there is a certain amount of wear and tear that a facility will experience from use and the environment. Signature believes that any tensioned membrane structure should have bi-annual inspections at the minimum to monitor certain aspects of tension fabric functionality and correct any issues that may arise with time and exposure.  A loose cable or tensioning mechanism is a very minor and easily remedied issue- ignoring it will turn it into a major issue over time. The objective of an Annual Maintenance Agreement (AMA) is to catch minor problems and repair immediately, as well as identify potential problems before they become major.

An experienced Signature technician will complete the following checklist and repair issues.  A formal inspection report will be sent to your office with comments specific to your building.  A copy will also be held in your permanent file in the Signature office. These reports are like a service record for your car- they can prove invaluable if you’re ever called on to reinforce the fact that you have properly maintained your structure. No company in the industry performs more of this type of work than Signature Structures.
